Quick update

i was given the task of searching for effective background music for our documentary production so i was thinking considering that our production is based on comics then i should search for rock music non copyright to mention and i don't think that tracks such as dance or upbeat music will work but i will search around on he internet until i find one

we also have filming tomorrow so hopefully it all turns out OK and the cameras don't pick up as much noise as they did before

More editing

Today i started editing the interview half of the production and what do you know the computers are slow not to mention the fact that it takes forever to save and it does not add the effect to the clip. mmmm so my teacher told me to save the clip then restart the computer so i started to do that when  the computer says NO! oh well lets hope that it wont do that again

Newspaper advert

So i was having a look at Newspaper adverts and other adverts to check the conventions and this is what i found

. they all seem to have the subject in full view
. simple yet informative text
. the sometimes use words like we, everyone, us to create a group mentality
.seem to have emotive colours example yellows , or reds
. large eye catching text to catch the readers attention
.and the most simple thing of all is that when people faces are in the advert they always appear to be smiling i found out that this was to create an emotional response with the readers so hopefully in our newspaper advert we follow some of these conventions
( i know the music i create is not the best )

iNterview

Yesterday we went filming at the comic book shop where we had to do an interview with the owner of the comic book shop or worker of the comic book shop well one of them, and it was ok we got most of the shots we wanted however im starting to think that the volume was to loud.




we started by taking the LOG ( London over ground ) to Kenton where we go off and caught the bus which took forever by the way

As you can see when were arrived it was not that dark but it was getting there



















finally picture of us in action however i turned the camera to focus and moved my hand rather then keep it to( infinite) where the photo's are taken instantly

editing today

today we started editing for the first time which was good and so far what we have is really good m e thinks
we also have filming today at the comic book shop at 15:30 and lets see how it goes, we are returning back to the comic book shop to carry out the rest of the interview

we had filming to film parts of our media production which all and all went well however we encountered so any things that slowed us down i will go through them in a list

1. cars kept coming in our way over and over again
2. It started to rain
3.we had to do one show like 8-9 different times because we wanted to get it just right
4. our previous location we started shooting being told that we cannot shot there
5.no one wanted to speak on camera


this was the first location that we decided to shot but then being told that we cannot shot there.
this was the location where we were based until we were told we cannot continue to film

FILMING

I JUST FINISHED COMING BACK FROM A FILMING TRIP AT THIS COMIC BOOK SHOP CALLED CALAMITY OVER ALL I THINK THE FILMING TRIP WAS GOOD BUT THERE WERE NO PEOPLE TO INTERVIEW WAS LIKE ONLY ONE MAN ( LOL :) ) BUT WE STILL MANAGED TO FILM A WHOLE LOT OF THINGS LIKE FILM OUT SIDE , INSIDE AND YOU PEOPLE KNOW THE REST BUT STILL IT WAS INTERESTING BUT COLD

Mini assiment

today i and my other class mate had a chance to look at each others blogs and research and planning so that we can get targets on what we should improve these include

. slowing down the speed of the slide show because one of the main issues that people had was that the speed was to fast and it some how made their eyes hurt.

.clearly label all items so that people could know what they were looking at and what each thing suppose to mean and represent

Re-do

So i just finished making another slide show that we can hopefully use some of the ideas of in our final one , oh and KEYNOTE the music is not ours so unless we somehow get the labels backing to use this song we cannot use it in our final idea

so this is a copy of the logo which we have decided upon taking im so happy that i have completed it because it took me like 20 attempts to finally get it rich because i had to design it from nothing and people were going i think this should be this way and so on so i'm happy I'm done and the do news doesn't stop there my co-worker or group member what ever you want to call it just told me she had a sample of how she wanted the slide show to look

so this is just a little preview of the shot list which i did so enjoy.

R+ P= logo?

so this is the research and planning that i did for the creation of the logo and in this i took a few logos from major film of media companies and i decided to compare the conventions and the elements of it i found that

. most of them appear to have text written in caps meaning that i would incorporate it into the logo as well however the first part of the logo will be in caps we though that adding the other part in lower-case letters will break conventions and so we decided to do it.

. i also found that they all seem to have bright , emotive , eye catching colours which may trigger a emotional response in the T.A and so i may use it ti create the same effect.

. they all seems to be connected with the name of the company or what the company is doing so i though that is should use that in the logo as well.

i just finished receiving the copy of the storyboards so now i can continue creating the shot list and then is all good to go me thinks i also have to finish the logo so is going to be a long weekend.

the meeting

So today we had one of our regular meetings to decide upon how we should share the work loads and stuff like that so Mohammed and mirella were in-charge of re-drawing the story boards whilst i had to create the logo and the storyboard and so as usual progress which takes us even close yo our goal.

i just finished having a convocation with Hannah about our meeting tomorrow so hopefully it will all go well i think we have to like improve our ideas on say filming times and things like that so lets see how it goes because our media teacher in charge of this part of the course gave us a check list to kinda help us get the most possible grades we can so we have a major re-do to complete

Mini blog inspection

Today we had what i like to call again a mini blog inspection to see where , and what needs improving in our blogs much to my delight my blog was good however she told us well i say us i mean me that i have to improve things like adding moving pictures or as some people may call it videos however i think that i shall try to upload some videos , but is not the first time i had this video people because the main reason for me not having videos is because the file was to big so that made uploading a pain considering i have wireless which keeps disconnecting however i shall try as i say is all good

London Expo.

So today we went to Anime con ( convention )at the Excel london to do the first part of our filming as well as just to have general fun i think we started by walking round with the camera to create our times lapse effect which was both interesting and exciting because we kinda hoped that people would wave at the camera but it was the complete opposite but the main well question our documentary is trying to find out is woman and treatment in comics well to sum it up i think that images could best describe the point im trying to make as i can recall in the comic books shop some people said that particularly in Manga woman were kinda shown as sexual objects with

really clear

but is that poster you can see some features of what the subjects which we were asking questions said for example the exaggerated features for example eyes

the view from the floor of the convention just to give a feeling of the amount of people and objects in the way which was not particularly friendly for filming and moving around even.

and lastly to give and example into the size of the place and the amount of people in the line above because that is a line not the convention , apparently the Excel London website says that this area can hold 65,000 Sq m of floor space so that's the same as having two Boeing 747's side to side so just something to think about...

All set

So i added those dates that we have to meet up to complete our filming and productions so yeah the phones knows all and it will remind me so is all good. and i think we may a mini meeting tomorrow and yeah lets see

Project "Frankenstein" dun dun dunnnnnnnnn

so today we had a group meeting well the four of us to decide ever more upon more ideas and dates that we should or should not go filming and over all me think it was a good meeting with all ideas being taking into consideration and all other factors like whether , authorisation to do curtain things stuff like that well all and all we came up with some amazing ideas like times lapse film so i took it upon my self to find out the weather lol just to make sure





According to my yahoo desktop widget Saturday the first day to film is going to rain but is OK because we can always do in the main building which is warm and dry










and finally images of the official story boards which i like to call " Frankenstein " because it was put together images by images until a compromise was found but as i always say is all good

TODAY I HAVE DECIDED TO WRITE IN CAP LOCKS FOR THIS BLOG BECAUSE OF WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO THE INFORMATION AND DATA THAT I HAVE FOUND FOR EXAMPLE I COMPLETED MY RESEARCH SECTION YET I LOST IT SO HAD TO RE START THE WHOLE PROJECT AGAIN BUT IT WAS OK TOMORROW I HAVE AN AFTER SCHOOL MEETING TO DECIDE UPON THE STORYBOARD FOR THE GROUPS MAIN IDEA AND HOPEFULLY TOMORROW WE ARE GOING TO ADD THE RESEARCH THAT WE HAVE ALL DONE TOGETHER AND COME UP ONE SOLID MAIN IDEA AND CONSIDERING THAT I RESEARCH ABOUT CONVENTIONS THEN IT SHOULD BE OK I THINK

Comic book shop

I just finished coming back from a two hour visit to a comic book shop which i must say i found very interesting because it wasn't quite what i was expecting but i found it ok we went round asking people questions to find out their views about women and comic books for example one question was how do you think women are portrayed in comic books as well as in anime and many people said that they thought that it depended mainly on the type of comic and anime so hopefully we did enough research to back up our ideas .

the after school meeting.

so today we had an after school meeting to decide upon improving the ideas of our groups and how we should go about doing this considering that we had just join together so in this meeting we discussed things like finding more primary research and the importance of audience feedback which i completely agree is important so hopefully we have decided to meet up and have a day based on finding out as much as possible for Monday, well wish me luck see how well we do.

so i have to redo my power-point again and hopefully will be much better but im a bit frustrated because i cannot for some reason think of an good ideas and im thinking to my self...... blank blank blank never the less is ok im going to try today if i fail oh well once i tried that's the most import thing so wish me luck....

i was on msn yeah and this stupid adverts keep popping up and that pissed me off so i got my second idea i named it " how does advertising in digital media affect our daily lives " well im yet to get a catchy name but is my main i shall call it headline , and i chose this because people are starting to think do they have choice or do they buy things because of manipulation from external forces and i though that this might be a good choice just to break the ice a little

So i been to school having a little chat with my teacher about my advertising idea and she was telling me something about should do documentary , and stuff like that so i have to re-think from the begining but as i say is all good, so i was brain storming and i was thinking to my self what are the two most popular things that i know of , then it hit me, the internet and digital devices so i was like yeah i know what i'm going do but im not gonna tell you till later shame lol and away we go.

Shake it .OMG

So yeah im watching viasat my tv provider well viasat explorer the channel on my new HD TV and i see this amazing advert ,OMG and im thinking wtf is that man and what is it i don't know is it a phone , is it a computer is a an Mp3 i don't know so i go to youtube to watch that then booooom it hits me i remember before school closing for summer my teacher saying try and like get ideas so im like yeah is all good lol, i would actually buy this phone that's how good the advert was , i think i just had what is called a brain storm lol.
